Are they serious?

I wish to talk about progress I really do, so many technological advancements making me a happy geek

But things like this happen and well….
The Shdadya area was promised for Kuwait university to build a full college town
Ofcourse that was years ago and as is the tradition w/ our verrrriiiii competent government things just won’t move because well, the government is full of idiots w/ power. Idiots is not exactly accurate they are total corrupt bastards cause they will block any move that won’t benefit themselves or someone they know.
So the Shdadya campus has been on halt
Today several lands on that Shdadya land has been handed for industrial use.. Basically they r taking pollutants from pedestrian areas, which is good, and placing them next to the “potential” college town, which is baaaaaaad.
The pollutants that are plaguing areas like the new Sa3ad Al3abdallah city and Om Ilheiman causing so many illnesses ranging from allergies to cancer, placing them next to future generations of students
Don’t you just love the way these people think?

Maybe they just won’t ever bother w/ the campus, nor the island of Failaka, did they say they were doing something about the Jaber hospital?   Seems like they are discarding all the older projects and replacing them w/ new ones?

Edit: wth, this song makes me feel good reminding me of the freedom we live, the freedom that we almost lost 20 years ago

Iron maiden’s the clansman

Happy 2010

Did you have any plans that should show results in 2010?
Try to look back at your planing from this point on.
The last decade was a total disappointment. The 1st ten years of the 21st century. Started with GW Bush getting elected as president to the US, the tech bubble burst, Corporate scandals featuring Enron and others, 9/11 terrorist attacks, On going economical recession. A Decade full of chrisis, downturn, and distress. Locally the passing away of the Emir Jaber AlAhmad AlSabah (May god show mercy on his soul) and the controversy surrounding the leadership following that event. I lost count to how many times the parliament got dissolved, Women gained the right to vote and run for the parliament, and changing the districts to 5 districts… I still dont agree w/ that last bit but oh well, what can u do. Some positive stuff came up… The century ended w/ the election of the 1st black president of the US from African roots, the slight rebound of the economy after the subprime crisis. And finally lots of scientific and technological advancements. As long as this advancement doesn’t stop despite the nasty politicians and their negative effect on every aspect of our lives… Seriously, when was the last time someone said: “wow, politicians really improved our lives with this decision?”  Okay, the health care bill of President Obama, besides that 😛
Kuwait got kicked out of international sporting events starting 1st of January 2010…
GG allz
Good Game, Good Game

Did they approve the new traffic rules?  a 10-20km/h overspeeding will be 100 kd… so watch it… I just paid the fines on my record for the last 3-4 years and it was around 100kd now that would be one ticket for 100 :S

B4 its illegal

Update: thanks to Altariq blog I was able to find a source on the Ministry of Information minister’s statement on Blogs monitoring (link in Arabic)

Like to link sources.

I apologize for the total inactivity I do get a lot of ideas and stuff but… I just can’t be bothered as I used to
Soooo many things happened in this country, Kuwait, and the world. From Israel increasing their settlements activities and auctioning land in the invaded Syrian Goolan to The questionings of top Kuwaiti government officials. Ooh, and the exciting game of Barcalona and our local Kazma, that was historic.
I am very grateful for the readers and commenters here but I can’t seem to be hardcore in anything anymore.
I used to be a hradcore Rocker, Hardcore MMORPG Player, Hardcore blogger, well u get the idea. Ever since i got married life’s been very chaotic for me to be hardcore in anything anymore. But marriage has its upside too 😛
Anyways I have a new job now also and *knock on wood* its going so well and I like the team which I believe is the most important thing in a job. I like the place too and I wanted to work there for so long, that also helps
Anyways whats happening in Kuwait now is just too much to be missed out on. The thing s *with my conspiracy theory oriented mind* I believe there is a plan, a conspiracy if u will to sabotage free speech in this country in the name of, well many things including what they call “National Unity”
From Writers hating the anonymity of bloggers like Fouad Alhashim

who said that all anonymous bloggers who express their opinions under a nick name are women. Settle in a museum, Dinosaur 😛
To the current controversy caused by M7ammad Aljoweihil for saying irresponsible things, as usual from such a “safeeh” ie an idiot, causing the government to rush a LAW TO REGULATE ONLINE BLOGS. Capitalizing on the emotional state people r in while using the idiot as a scapegoat.

Don’t you realize that in this country we dont like to hear things? so just everyone shut up.. if you wanna talk get a license to. otherwise don’t bother

Here’s the bull crap fest Jweihil started and messed things up on himself and everyone else
Play with fire… You get burned

We Never Forgot

40 years ago The Libyan leader Mo’ammar Algaddafi rose to power in what they call a bloodless coupe.
19 Years ago Iraq has invaded Kuwait and that invasion has shown some leaders in their true nature. We saw the “secret and leaked” video of the Arab League meeting when Several Arab countries didn’t even want to condemn the invasion. The most vocal of whom was the Libyan leader.
Today he celebrates 40 years on the revolution and we have Kuwaiti leaders at the top levels participating in the celebrations.
Us Kuwaitis never forgot what happened.. But I guess our leadership simply decided to yield :S

I am a rock n Roll Musician, a business and tech savvy.  During the Bush years I lived in the states, and that drew me to focus on human rights

I lived in depression and got treated.  Now I c things more clearly

These are examples of topics that will be handled in my blog Zen of Chaos
